It is with great and devastating sadness we have learned of the passing of our Board Member and dear friend Perrttu Karivalo.
Perttu has been a true friend to many of us. As as supporter and ambassador of all things aviation and airshows, a deeply trustworthy pillar of strength, knowledge and an advocate for safety, technology and excellence. The airshow world has lost a talented, skilled and increadibly positive and passionate person, who's driving force behind events will be sadly missed by us all.
We were truly pleased that Perttu agreed to join the EAC Board in 2019. His input, ideas, knowledge and support across a great many areas has been outstanding, drawing on his vast knowledge of military, civil and technologies to benefit both EAC and all those who attend the conventions, especially those in the FDD community. His work in his home nation of Finland and many others is a lasting legacy and testiment to his dedication and passion, one which we know those closest to him will remember with great fondness and pride.
Sleep well dear friend, we are all in a better place for the time we have spent with you, more knowledgeable, more powerful and more understanding. We will of course miss you being present with us, but will remember you with kindness, admiration and I know many thousands will join us in remembering your work in aviation and airshows, leaving a lasting impression in their lives.
Our deepest condolences and thoughts go to his wife Mina and their children and family who suffer the greatest loss of all at this hugely painful time.
