EAC Convention 22 Postponed

The Board Members of the European Airshow Council, have today, made the difficult decision to postpone the next live convention until 2023, with the 2022 Convention being replaced with a Virtual Convention on the 25th February 2022.

Whilst conventions and conferences are currently permitted in Belgium, there are several restrictions that remain in place due to Covid 19, which have not been lifted as expected. This means that the 2022 convention would have been somewhat more difficult, restrictive and not in keeping with our normal approach. In addition the extra restrictions on travel, testing and quarantine have naturally led to lower numbers of attendees and have prevented a number of our military participants from attending.

The Chairman has held several meetings with the Hotel team, who have been excellent in their support and as a result we will now hold both the 2023 and 2024 conventions at the Marriott Grand Place in Brussels, moving to Prague in 2025.

This naturally comes as a major blow, with plans firmly made for the convention of 2022. The Board would like to thank all the delegates who have made a booking for this years convention, who will have received and email, prior to this announcement and will have the option to roll their places over to 2023 and receive a free place on the virtual convention or obtain a refund.

Our thanks also go out to our sponsors, for kindly providing their support for 2022 also and to our speakers, many of whom, will still join us virtually on the 25th. Registration for the virtual convention will open in the next few days, once the final programme has been confirmed.

We apologise for the announcement, but feel it is the only feasible option currently and hope you can join us virtually on the 25th February.
