It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Donald 'Don' Verhees.
Don will be well known to many in the European Airshow world as a keen attendee of the EAC Convention, NATO Tiger Meets and several events around Europe. A former USAF Colonel, with operational combat flying time in Vietnam on the F4 Phantom and other conflicts, Don's stories and tales will not be forgotten.
As the 'God Father' of the NATO Tiger Association, he was of great supporter of many shows, helping to build links, networking and making many friends along the way.
EAC Chairman, Gilbert Buekenberghs paid tribute to Don:
'I have known him from the time he was US ATTADEF in Belgium and since them he has not missed any of the Sanicole shows and has been to many EAC Conventions.
We thank him for the friendship and for all he did for the airshow and Tiger Community.'
The Board Members and all of the EAC would like to pass on our condolences and best wishes to Suzy and Don's Family.
